Born 2003. Meia was shown in the 2006 show season and was awarded a WPCS Bronze Medal. Sold at the 2009 Cob Sales. Meia was successfully shown by the Hillgarth Stud in the 2010 season, and has this year (2011) had a palomino filly foal (with four white socks!!) who has also won at her first two shows this season.

June's first foal and a full brother to Ionos Ffion. Jac was sold in 2005 and is now being shown in hand, under saddle and driven.

Ionos Gwylon

The first foal out of Soden Gwawr. Gwylon was sold at the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Brightwells October Sales in 2005. Earlier this year, we were thrilled to learn that he has now been broken to ride and is showing great promise under saddle. Over the Summer, he competed, and did exceptionally well in his first basic dressage test, for which he appears to have a hidden talent. Ionos Captain Jack

Captain Jack (Sparra) was bought by Graham and Josie in 2009. He has been shown as a yearling and a two year old with a great deal of success. Below is a photograph of him at the Glanusk Stallion show this year. Our thanks go to Graham and Josie for keeping in touch with all the news - including the fact that Sparra is going to be a dad next year.

This is a top class quality filly pictured here at approximately 10 days old. Lightly shown at foot with dam in the show season of 2010 winning many 1st prizes. Sold as a yearling, we're very much looking forward to following her progress both in the showring and as a broodmare.

Ionos Modlen Manon

Manon was lightly shown in 2008 as a yearling so is experienced in the showring – 6th Royal Welsh 2008 (see page 512 2009 journal). Her.Dam Llwynhywel Model Mai was Supreme champion in the 1994 Ceredigion Foal show and First Prize Winner at many other shows. Her sire Thorneyside the Jackpot is also a multiple prize winner. She had a superb head and eye, and a kind and gentle temperament. Sold in 2010, Manon is now being broken to ride.

Ionos Modlen Mair

Mair is our homebred champion who was successfully shown as a 3 year old - 2nd Glanusk, 6th Lampeter, 7th Royal Welsh and Youngstock Championship at many local shows (see Shows page). Her Dam Llwynhywel Model Mai was Supreme champion in 1994 Ceredigion Foal show and First Prize Winner at many other shows. Mair has been used as a breeding mare at the stud and has produced two colt and three filly foals. Sold to the Arvalon Stud in Germany in 2011.

Ionos Polly’s Pride

A grand daughter of Nebo Daniel with traditional old bloodlines which included Gwenllan Del Du, Llanarth Braint, Tyhen Comet and Brenin Dafydd to name a few. Her G.G.G. Dam was Ionos Polly who was extremely successful in the showring – Polly’s Pride herself was shown as a yearling and never beaten. Sold in 2010.

Ionos Awen Haf

A very impressive, natural free moving filly out of our homebred mare and by the young stallion Trefaes Black Marvel (by Gwynfaes Culhwch) whose hock action needs to be seen to be believed. Marvel is out of Trefaes Black Pearl, dam of the champions Trefaes Golden Pearl and Trefaes Black Flyer. Sold as a yearling.

Llwynhywel Model Mai

Llwynhywel Model Mai - born 1994. Mai was bought at the Builth sales in 2001 and has not only produced outstanding stock in the past - the late Llwynhywel Boy O Boy, and Llwynhywel Victor - she has also given us some of the best breeding and showing stock at the stud. Mai was sold in 2009.

Section C Filly
Ffanci (Fancy) was the most appropriate definition of this filly. She had a beautiful head, bold eye and was the most tremendous mover. Her dam, is our homebred mare whose breeding include some of the oldest traditional bloodlines not easily available today - Coed Coch Madog, Lyn Cwmcoed, Parc Welsh Flyer, Brenin Dafydd, Nebo Daniel, Gwenllan Del Du in addition to Synod and Rhosymeirch bloodlines. Lyn Cwmcoed, Coed Coch Madog, Tyngwndwn Mathrafael Lady and Llanarth Braint, all of whome are in her breeding, were included in the S4C competition to name the top ten "Welsh Pony or Cob Stallion or Mare of the 20th Century". Sold in 2010.

Carless Fair Lady

Lady, seen here with her 2002 filly foal Ionos Ffydd (x Rhosymeirch Reflection) and 2005 filly foal Ionos Adwen (x Brynithon New Image) who was sold to Germany in 2006 after being shown by us as a yearling and winning many 1st prizes. Ionos Polly's Lady (Carless Fair Lady x Gwenllan Sam) her 2006 filly foal was sold at the Builth Sales in October 2007. Our 2007 filly foal (Carless Fair Lady x Ionos Troy) Ionos Polly's Pride was sold in 2010. Lady was sold in 2009 to the Arvalon stud in Germany.

Ionos Guto

Born 2011 Section D, chestnut colt with four white socks and a blaze. Guto has already been shown by his new owner who we wish every success for the 2012 showing season.

Ionos Troy

Ionos Troy - born in 1986. Returned to the Ionos stud in 2005. We unfortunately lost Troy in 2008 at the age of 22.
